More than 500 people gathered in The Langham, Auckland over the weekend for the Property Masters event to meet property investment mentors: Sean Wood and Steve Goodey of PropertyTutors. Sean set up PropertyTutors in 2008 to mentor property investors in the property trading strategy. Back then it was a strategy used only by early adopters and it had plenty of critics. Now with much media attention property trading is very much in the mainstream and is better understood.
Adding value to a property by renovating it, maybe rejigging the floor plan to improve flow, add an extra bedroom is fundamentally how investors mentored by Sean and Steve acquire profit when the property sells and often the turnaround time for a property is just eight weeks.
On the weekend the Property Masters event ran for 10 hours and served up the latest news and views including experts views on implications of more RBNZ restrictions what the future may look like for property investors. If history is anything to go by whatever happens property trading will around for some time due to it’s strong fundamentals.
On Sunday attendees learned that buying well and ideally buying property below it’s market value is the perfect starting point to making a good gain. Sean and Steve’s mentoring is less teaching theory and all about the practical application i.e. you learn by doing and the more active the investor is in the hunting down good properties the greater their success.
There were also a lighter moments throughout the day and some spot prizes too including an all expenses paid lunch with Sean and Steve at a Hawkes Bay winery. Travel by PropertyTutors’s helicopter!
